About Meridian

Meridian is a city that has boomed in the last decade and a half. Once a small and sleepy town, Meridian’s population had reached 75,092 by 2010, making it the third largest city in Idaho, and by 2018, Meridian’s population had surpassed 106,000 (according to a report researched by KTVB Boise). Meridian has now firmly established itself as the second most populous city in Idaho, and one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Its growth is not surprising. It has been repeatedly recognized as a great place to live by publications such as 24//7 Wall St (“Best City to Live”) and Money magazine.

Meridian is filled with new home communities. Most of them offer wonderful amenities like golf links, swimming pools, man-made lakes and fountains and beautifully maintained open spaces. Perhaps Meridian’s greatest appeal is to buyers who want the benefits of a new or nearly new home – a home that will not produce expensive maintenance and repair “surprises” – and who appreciate the nicely laid out neighborhoods created around these new home communities. Buyers who opt for a brand new home are also able to select finishes and make some design decisions so their homes are customized to their needs.

Beyond offering newer housing stock, Meridian boasts a very family-friendly vibe. It’s filled with parks, from the Roaring Springs Waterpark to Wahooz miniature golf, to the many great grassy fields for little league and soccer teams. There are restaurants and a wonderful mall: the Village at Meridian. While Meridian residents have many local options for entertainment, and don’t need to head into Boise for shopping or a night out, Boise is conveniently close for work or a night out – just about about a 20 minute drive away.
